It’s so funny. I have had multiple people ( long time Stratton skiers) tell me that today was pretty much chaos.

I guess it’s just what you’re used to
Yesterday, chaos? In what way? It wasn’t that crowded for a Saturday and we had a little fresh snow fall Friday night. Today is different. All that fresh snow has been skied off. On a positive note, no crowds today..

Looking like a few inches overnight on that packed base and a little above freezing at the summit tomorrow. Getting there with the better half at the bell, she’ll quit when the rain starts :)

Dress warm. Going down to -17 tonight. Won’t get above zero until 10a tomorrow - according to the forecast. It was great today.
That forecast was total crap. Didn’t get anywhere near -17° in Southern Vermont. Was actually colder in the valleys this morning.

Anyway, who saw the Range Rover parked on the access road guard rail Saturday afternoon? We were on scene about 30 seconds after it happened. We had to convince the driver to turn off the car, get off the phone with her husband and get out…and get her kid out of the back.

Agreed. Only reached a low of -4 where I stay near the base. Now to watch the weather for later in the week.

Yesterday was okay. Woods were indeed pretty beat. Trashed my skis on rocks at top of Moonbeam.
Groomers pretty sketchy by 2 pm. Cold day but entirely manageable. So much for a forecast promising 'no wind', though.

Weird day yesterday, it felt colder later in the day, even as the temps increased - but so did the wind and humidity.

One cool thing was seeing how my buddy's 9 yr old son is becoming a lil ripper. Non stop through 2nd entrance to West Pilot, right through Cabin Fever, to base, passing fools like they were standing still

Few inches heavy snow last night, great conditions today. Sun came out and lower mountain got really warm by lunchtime, and by then upper mountain was super soft.
