Beautiful day, sun/no wind, looks like a few inches last night. For all the Stratton grooming fans, Upper/lower standard is groomed edge to edge top to bottom. It’s a one song run today.

Saw this at the sunbowl lodge, … sooo Stratton IMG_5758.jpeg

But the real Tabasco is gone, and there’s some Taco Bell type replacement

20% off food w Ikon pass is pretty rad. Of course, if I'm in lot 1 I just walk to my car and eat a bagged lunch there.

I have a pocket sandwich most of the time but that mid mountain bbq is pretty good.

Forgot there are some differences between main base/sunbowl food, no asian noodle rice dishes at sunbowl, may be other stuff only at main base.

At the sunbowl the chicken tendies come with waffle fries, at mid mountain the tendies come with tots, and the main base the tendies come with regular shoestring fries.

If I'm really hungry at Stratton, I go to the Deli in the village for a cheesesteak.

Everything frozen yesterday started out hard today, by lunchtime really softened. Stayed away from Amex/gondola/main base after shuttle drop/first run, ursa and snow bowl were busy am, ski on pm, shooting star wasn’t crowded am, ski on pm. Following some people “in the know” into the unmarked glade between franks and tamarack, short and sweet, in and out, and pretty nice. Snow furries, no wind, pretty great day.

Kinda same today, with the sun out from the start. Super crowded am, lift lines down significantly after lunch. Got into west pilot a few times this morning, much softer than the other day. Cruised listening to music most of the time.

Our shuttle bus driver said all the lots filled sat and sun. Cars parked on sunbowl road and mountain road.

I think I know the answer from this crowd, but are Saturdays at Stratton anymore insufferable than anywhere else on a Saturday?

Last weekend was packed in the morning, lots filled up. Huge drop off after lunch.

Forgot about the father and son yahoos on the lift, told me everything I needed to know in 6 minutes

Good day today. Crowded? Yes, and no Gondi due to winds, so Ursa was a mess around lunch time. Singles line wasn’t too bad and it snowed in the afternoon. Great runs towards the end of the day.
