Very nice few hours late morning with sun and ski on. Mostly groomed cruisers except Liftline and Dino’s. Beautiful mid winter skiing.

i havent been since monday, but i doubt they will be 'trash'. they will be 'skied in'. but theres been a ton of snow in the woods for the past 2 months with no thaws. it will be typical eastern tree skiing, not powder skiing

i dont feel like driving very far or spending 2 nights of hotel bucks this weekend, so i am leaving my apartment at 4 AM tonight/tomorrow morning for stratton. hoping the saturday at stratton isnt too chaotic. then i got a cheap hotel in brattleboro and will go back to stratton sunday. i was pretty surprised to see manchester just about fully booked except for a few very expensive places

wish magic was in play for saturday but its still not time yet.

See you there. We too do not feel the drive to sugarbush is worth it this weekend. I am afraid of Saturdays at Stratton, so probably only going Sunday. I'm looking forward to more exploration of this new destination for us!

comparing webcams right now, stratton vs. bush - it is way more crowded at the bush than stratton, judging by the lift lines.

Dude I usually stay at the Covered Bridge Inn in Brattleboro. Last sunday was prob the last time I'll do that. They are housing homeless and the sketch factor was off the charts. Also, it smelled really, really, strange. A sea change from seasons past when it was no frills but cheap. Three cop cars pulled in sirens and all, bc junkies arguing in parking lot. Sigh.

A few inches of snow overnight, snowed on and off all day. Great conditions today. Lots of work going on in the parks, and the half pipe build on lower standard.

Another fine Stratton day today, the ungroomed trails were riding great at 3 today, I am so not used to this phenomenon. Four TTB runs on Sunbeam to end the day, the snow just roughly cut up, I’m really beginning to appreciate this place. On our way home, Lynxy remarked how much she enjoyed the day and went on about how the place may not have been as much fun when we were younger. I reminded her that we hadn't been here in over 30 years so maybe she was right. Two young fellas asked us while riding the lift what year we started riding. They were like wow, you must be good, or at least you used to be… then wished us a great day when we got off the lift. Great kids, could have been our grand kids… little bastards, we might have been the oldest riders on the hill today, but I’d like to doubt it. The woods appear to be the steepest trails here, did some woods off Kidderbrook but they were too skied in for my liking. Going to have to go off the map to find the pow that I am sure is still here. Chef Rose makes great Caribbean tacos down in Sun Bowl lodge, for the win! So glad for day trips and beer. Back soon.
