Ditch your friends and go to Magic or even Bromley if you like anything steep or difficult.

Having never even been to Bromley, I'm still gonna assume that Stratton has steeper stuff than Bromley. Just ignore the fact that mountain is giant and that it's all pretty much a flattish groomers paradise. There's definitely some steeper stuff to be found.

Thanks for the input.
Stratton was great this weekend. Friday was the best day with the fresh snow. We started at Sunbowl then stuck to the 6 pack lifts and the Gondola since it was empty.
Didnt catch all the names but far skiers right was what we hit the most. Woods far skiers right were fun, Kinderbrook maybe?
Kept it somewhat low key for après and hit Grizzleys and the small bar in Sunbowl base. Slow start Sat for more of the same. Ended up at Organic Pizza Co for après, great beer selection there.
We hit it right snow wise, nice mountian with some varied terrain. I will go back.

I was there on Friday as well. It was a great day for sure! The new snow was amazing. I lapped Upper Kidderbrook (Far Skiers right) a couple times before the groomer tracks were gone (Man that runout f'ing blows) and then started hitting the trail off to the left of Upper Kidderbrook (Free Fall). That was a lot of fun as they left it ungroomed. We made our way over across the mountain (Grizzly Bear was in great shape), then all the way over to Mikes way and the woods over there at about 2:00 and called it a day.

I had my 68 year old father with me and he was in need of some medicince so we stopped at Mulligans and had us a couple Long Trails and Switchback Winter Seasonals... Yum. Good day on the hill with minimal traffic and crowd.
