Planning on skiing at Sugarbush friday.
I noticed that today (Thurs.), their trail report states that Castle Rock is 100% open.

Given the freezing rain we had yesterday, and the fact that they don't groom at Castlerock much (if at all), does this mean:
1. We didn't get the rain (yeah right). Conditions are great.
2. It's open, but solid as a rock. Ski at your own risk.
3. It's open because we groomed it.
4. We hope to open it, so we listed it as open on the snow report because we're optimists. The reality is once the ski patrol looks at it, it probably won't be open after all.

I'd appreciate comments from anybody with more first-hand experience at Sugarbush, or better yet, someone who skied there today.

Thanks all,
SAB

Not based on first-hand knowledge, but I'd say 2 is the closest. They have a ton of snow. It will be open. It won't be groomed. It might not be fun. That said, based on Greg's reports and MRG's reports, I think they survived with pretty little NCP.
