Resort or Ski Area: Sugarbush
Conditions: Powder, Packed Powder, random scratch/ice patches. 4 inches of snow fell Saturday into Sunday. Sunday snowed all day.
Weather: Snow – temps In the 20’s
Looks like several AZ’ers made it to the MRV this weekend.
Saturday was a great day on the mountain and Sunday even better. Spent most of the day Saturday on the Heaven’s Gate chair on the trails and in the woods in between. Woods were good but had been tracked heavily Thursday and Friday after the midweek dump.
Saturday PM the snow started and continued through Sunday with my guess of an additional 5 inches during the day. Highlights of Sunday were Moonshine and Twist – fresh powder in the early AM. Eden was exceptional with fresh, light powder. Mid day was back up to Heaven’s Gate with no lift line (always amazes how quiet Sunday’s are compared to Saturday). The snow was coming down fast and the woods were lighter and deeper than Saturday. Paradise was my run of the day – fresh tracks and saw two other skiers on the entire run.
