Thats easy. Sugarbush is lying. We went up for the $5.50 ski day, which was good for the money, but I saw stuff open that other mountains would have roped off for safety reasons. Some of those trails were marked "expert only" but had huge spots where the the snow was rotted thru and were blind to the skier. Of what was open and skiable to the general public, the trails were as good as possible considering the all the rain that came through and it looks like a good solid foot will bring them back in no time. Nice mountain, sketchy trail reports.

I don't think so

On friday, the day your referring to the Bush reported 44 trails, my post was referring to Sunday, regarding the comeback from Friday. Here is what a poster from another forum said.

"Friday was decent, although you needed some sharp edges, Saturday I didn't ski, but yesterday was pretty good! Sugarbush made a really great comeback from the rain! Excellent grooming and snowmaking!"

There's no question the Bush tries to put a happy face on things in their snow /trail reports. However, word from guests at the inn is that we survived the 23rd rain event better than Pico, Killington, Stowe, etc. Hopefully, we'll stay alive after tomorrow's ice storm, but what we really need is a good dumping. Haven't really had a big one this year.
