Part one of this storm outperformed - at least 4" down at the start of the day and, though it was supposed to let up during the day, another 4" or so fell as it kept snowing almost until the closing bell. We had 2fers and wound up staying at Mt Ellen all day rather than waste time heading over to Lincoln Peak without the Slide Brook Express running. Lifts to the summit were on wind hold on both mountains but there was ample boot-deep in woods and trail edges down below. (Snow snakes still lurk in the woods but not too bad.) Later in the afternoon I did a little skinning from the top of the Green Mtn Express to hit a very lightly tracked Spinout - would have gone all the way up but patrol was doing an early sweep by snowmobile, so I turned around before skiers above me would have gotten to it.

Extremely enjoyable day. Have a few photos but too tired now to upload them. Nice big dendrites falling now as I look out the window of the Mad River Barn. Tomorrow, MRG.
