Date(s) Skied: 4/8/08

Resort or Ski Area: The Loaf

Conditions: frozen granular, corn, wet. 50 degrees at the base 30ish at the summit

Trip Report: Awesome bluebird spring day on the mountain. Groomed trails from the superquad down softened up and were great, above the quad it stayed frozen except for the back side and whatever was in full sun. The woods softened up a bit, but were still crunchy. Tons of snow up here still, i stuck my pole 52" into the snowpack and it didnt hit ground!

Great pics! Can't beleive I deleted all mine from the weekend. Amazing that front side stayed frozen like that since Saturday night.

I see you found the salsa shack. I agree the stuff going into that is sketchy. Gotta definately have some balls to go down through there.

I was up there yesterday 4/9 and it was incredible. It warmed up and everything softened up and we skied everywhere. Front face is still buried. Ripsaw was the sweetest I have ever skied it.

Wanted to get the goods before this next weather event (sorry reggaers).

I am still on cloud nine, one of my best Loaf days ever...

Nice. I tried to take the same picture a month or so ago but my stupid camera died. Good to see things are holding up pretty well so far.

I have to agree with you. It was a lot of fun coming off the fields and getting spit out onto Ripsaw. I'm thinking about heading up again sometime next week. PM me if you might be interested in car pooling. I rode up alone, but met up with a couple of buddies up there.

Unfortunately I have blown my mid-week fun passes for a little bit.
