Just received the latest Powder issue with a free DVD that amounts to a decent commercial for the Loaf. They interview folks you'll recognize if you go there every year and have some ok skiing footage. I learned some interesting history.

I'm watching the extras right now and they are just as entertaining as the main feature. All in all, a nice bit of October stoke. The Loaf sure is making an unusual amount of pre-season noise this year.

Oh yeah, it comes with a free Loaf sticker!!

I tracked down a copy of Powder on the news-stand only to be disappointed to find no DVD (checked all three copies they had).

I will have to wait for the premier on Saturday at the Beach with a Shipyard.

FYI Hannaford's had the magazine WITH DVD in it. The new POWDER magazine has a sunset scene on the cover IIRC. Well worth the read. As to the DVD, wow, well done. Some great shots and some great historical information. The extras were good. My wife grew up skiing at Sugarloaf and she was just mesmerized throughout the entire video.

I subscribed kinda late this year and haven't gotten a Powder mag. Yet, temped to go grab the dvd in the store, but of course if I do that it will be in the mailbox when I get home. :smash:

Found the DVD. I must have jumped the gun because I was looking the prior issue of Powder.

I did catch the "premier" at Sugarloaf on Saturday. It was an interesting experience to watch it on the Beach. I thought the aerial footage was the best.

Any of you want to lend me your copy of the DVD?

+1

It'd be cool if someone could get this online...

(Unless that eats into someone's IP rights... but what I've read is that it's basically a Sugarloaf commercial... so I can't see why they wouldn't want the exposure... but if I'm wrong, it's their IP and they can do what they like.)

I'll be glad to lend mine out after I show it to a couple of folks. Anyone who'd like to borrow PM me and I'll keep in touch.
