I usually don't like lawsuits in general against ski areas but this one seems legit, especially after just adjusting the sheaves and it derails immediately after.

Sounds like he's got a pretty solid case. Not good for the Loaf, but it won't keep me from riding there this winter. Hopefully they will take responsibility, pay their dues and work to ensure it doesn't happen again.

Not at all surprising. I think we all expected it. That was a completely freak accident that should not have happened. Hopefully it will all be resolved.

Same here. This sucks for Sugarloaf, but sometimes you screw up and have to pay the price.

Sounds like settlement negotiations didn't work - hence taking it to court. Does not mean a settlement cannot be reached which usually happens at the very last minute prior to heading into the court room. Sugarloaf will have to own this one for sure. This case seems more legit then the Jay Peak suit!

Really sucks for all involved, including Sugarloaf. Sounds like they got most of the claims resolved and this one is just going to take some more effort.
