Trip Report:

Arrived within the opening 30minutes of operation of the lone lift...SuperQuad. Skied a total of ~4.5hrs. That was really all the legs could take today...on my day #1, following last season's one day of skiing. So essentially it's been a season layoff..and with a little unneeded bits of adding a little muscle here and there...I wanna tell ya', as the fourth hour was rolling around...the legs were yelling at me to Quit. There's nothing like a day #1 to be using something with either some width or with more sidecut in between the slightly wider tips/tails. Probably about 30 other people there till I hung it up...only one pack, a young ski team from Canada, then you were on your own = was nice.

Trails skied:
Tote Road
Hayburner
King's Landing (thinly covered, snowmaking ongoing)
Couple other trails..Windrow, Scoot..they're blowing snow on..thought I saw something about a part of Narrow Gauge..but not sure.

I found myself laughing at my rusty technique for what had to be a few hours...in the midst of the nicest powder I've seen in a few years over there, but I started to get the body parts moving in the right directions in the last couple hours...so it wasn't a complete flop.
The 10-12" lightly skied powder at the sides of Tote Road on the Chicken Pitch stretch was more fun with each time around. I took a couple easy rolling falls in it on the first slow descent...but afterwards I learned to just let the skis do the work...and had a lot of fun in that stretch. Skied Hayburner once, kept everything under control most of the way..LOL..and survived..was nice but had obviously been skied a lot yesterday.
Here's just one pic snapped on Tote Road, kind of a lame effort, but was just too busy skiing..or trying to ski(as it wasn't all 100% pristine tech..LOL).
Sun came out while driving from the access road, but was a continuous snowday up on the mountain.
*Also looked like there was a bit of activity over in the Whiffletree area..fwiw.
