Date(s) Skied: Thursday 2/10/2011
Resort or Ski Area: Sugarloaf, ME
Conditions: pp, powder(untracked/cutup)
Trip Report:
Perfect temps(teens to low-20s) made for squeaky dry snow...even though life at the summit
was a little windy. I mainly stayed on the lower mountain, except for a few trips down Powder
Keg. King's Landing and the lower flats were the main trails..in essence...to check the boots I have vs another...which way to tweak. Got to the place around 10:30 and skied for ~4 hours. Hardly anybody there except for the normal ongoing couple of group bump and racing classes. Sorry I didn't up/over to the bumped up trails...the combination of new boots and lack of ski-miles to date wouldn't have done any mogul line survey justice....and...as my Patagucci R1 pullover was doing its job extremely well...I really didn't feel like taking off the gloves for pics, so will have to wait for another snowstorm, but all in all = just a great day....
