I have to go with -

Sierra Nevada Summerfest

Gearys' s Summer, Shipyard Summer, and Gritty's Vacationland Summer. All Maine brews and all very good.

Gritty's Vacationland is good, that was almost # 3 on my list.

Funny for me to see # 9 on peoples list. That is strickly a fall/winter beer for me. The wife drinks them like a man during Apres'.

Keep em coming as soon as I see one I haven't tried I will pick a 6er of it up.

It hasn't been warm enough to swap over to my usual summer weiss beers. I'm still drinking Long Trail Double Bag and Long Trail Ale.

The Vacationland is probably the most refreshing of the 3, and what I would choose if having say more than 6. Geary's Summer is my favorite though. Crisp, refreshing, great taste, and deceptively strong for a summer ale, around 6%.

Geary's Summer is pretty much the only summer brew I drink

I stick to Ales, IPAs and Schwag year round. My standby is Smuttynose Shoals Pale Ale

Not a fan of many summer brews. Always sad to see the heavier stuff disappear in place of the weak stuff. Hard to get a really good tasting "lighter" beer. On the flip side, any brewer can spike a ABV up into double digits and get rave reviews. Trying a lot of new stuff lately and nothing is hitting the spot.

Got to taste Newport Storm's summer brew a few weeks back, and was surprised it was an IPA. Really good. I told the guy serving it up at the liquor store I found that a bit surprising and that I liked it.

"Yeah, we did that because most summer beers suck."

He made a sale.

Weiss beers are great in the summer, Paulaner and Julius Echter being two of my favorites. Hate the putting-an-orange-slice-in-it that so many bars do, though.

Sam Adams Summer is generally good, too, though I haven't had one this year yet.

If it's a beer after mowing the yard or something, anything cold works great. Otherwise, anything good works great.

If you go to a real Bavarian biergärten in the summer, the weißbier has a very thin slice of lemon in it. That's the way it's supposed to be served.

Franziskaner is my favorite Munich brew. When I had easy access at good prices in Portsmouth, NH, it was pretty much the only beer I drank. I can't find it in West Lebanon, NH.
