Off-day for the local school so I took the day off and headed to Sunapee so we could get home early. With a couple of discount coupons, we were able to ski for $40. It was very cold, not much wind and hardly a cloud in the ski. Got on the lift at 9:15 and our last run from the summit was about 2:15. Probably got in 16 runs or so. Snow conditions were very good, lots of base edge to edge, very, very few icy spots and lots of loose snow everywhere. Upper Ridge was suppose to open at noon but never did. Most of snow making activity was in the beginner/learning area as well as the terrain park. I can't ski mid-week b/c of work but the customers were 90-95% retiree/senior citizens - kind of funny and more power to them! As usual everything was groomed out - no bumps or anything kept a little cruddy - also there is only about 8" of natural snow. Favorites were Skyway and Upper Blastoff. Upper Windding was very good too. Nice first day, my son skied very well and I somehow managed to fall on my last run!
