We got a little nervous as it started to rain during the drive north but arrived at sr around 10:00 and failed to see any further precipitation until grey on the drive home. The day was overcast but no crowds and the conditions were better than could be expected for the middle of october.

Upper T-2 was mid season conditions, dust on frozen wales in the middle of the trail. Irregular bumps on the skiers right and sugar on the skiers left. Sunday punch was soft in the middle, bullet proof under the guns and thin on the skiers right. The only dirt was the final 20 feet before the base of the triple. SR also set up a couple of rails above the midstation.

Random assortment of 35 photos from today: http://forums.alpinezone.com/gallery/showgallery.php/cat/1149

Had a great day skiing, was so happy to be out. Did probably about 8 top to bottom runs, 3 or so mid station loads, had a blast... kicked my butt though :)

Took me about 3 or 4 runs to remember how to ski.

Rocked the new boots, new socks, new goggles, and new poles today. Skis are waiting for better coverage.

Sunday was nicer than Friday. I liked Friday casue it was my first day. I made 4th chair on Sunday and up top was really very close to what you find mid winter. T2 got its first groom. Lower punch got a few grooming passes made on it around 7 at night at at 2am the guns went on till 7am to add some soft stuff on top. I was really suprised how good it was.

Had a great time there Sunday. The bumps at the top were fun even though there was no real rhythm to them. I then would hit all the soft stuff on the right of Punch. It started to get more and more busy throughout the day. Around 1:30 it peaked.

I took some pics, but they aren't much different then what was already posted.

A fun all around day!
