Planning on a 3-ish hour day trip from Boston on Saturday. Not a big fan of Killington, been to Snow, haven't been to the River or the 'Bush. Which one's going to be better on Saturday (crowds, terrain, conditions, in about that order)?

Or any other suggestions?

(*ducks and runs for cover*).

You better be running fast!

I contend that you can find anything and everything that LP has at ME (on mountain, that is) if you know the mountain.

To answer your questions, Bush. I'm biased, but I'm right :p

Honestly, I've never skied the River, so I can't really say either way. But from what I hear, if you're an expert skier, Bush has quite a bit more interesting terrain for you to enjoy. And I think Slide Brook is turning now, so why limit yourself to just one or the other (ME or LP)??? Enjoy the best of both worlds. Get your fix on the over-rated Castlerock, and then come take a break from the crowds at Mt. Ellen where you'll realize that Black Diamond, Tumbler, Hammerhead, and Lower FIS are every bit as challenging and full of character as anything on Castlerock. They're just a bit shorter. :smash: :p

I've never had a problem at South with crowds. Last Saturday, Heaven's Gate and Castlerock were ski-on, and half my runs I didn't see anyone.
