Still haven't heard a word... What is the skinny? Getting worried.... The paranoid side of me fears they are holding back a change of focus away from moguls until after the extended pass deadline. Say it ain't so ishovelsnow!

Word I've heard is: pretty much the same as last year. Start out on Nor'Easter and Ex, then transition to Gunny in late Feb. January comp in the same place as last year.

Okay-- fine with that. I am off the ledge. Prefer the temptor pitch better but it is shorter than Gnareaster.. so either one works.

I thought Nor'easter was better than the short pitch on Temptor. Temptor is certainly steeper, but I think that contributed to funky wall bumps. With Nor'Easter at least you get a longer continuous run of bumps.

i'm worried (not really) about the lack of news on the expansion that has been rumored. what about the new gladed trail with lights and snow making to the looker's right of Gunny?

You should of waited it out, I think they are going to discount it more.

No Sundown pass for me this, I'll be slaying Southington and heading up north either with discount tickets from Billskis thread or for club days.

last year i alternated weekends between sundown + up north chasing discounts. plan to do the same this year, if the season gets going.

I just mailed in my CSC membership last weekend and I think they do have a weeknight deal with Sundown and I know they have discounted tickets for Southington. I do plan on getting there a couple times this year.

My deciding factor against it was that my niece and nephews parents are getting them passes for Southington this year and seeing that I mostly skied with them last year figured I would rather go there with them. They are also to the point ability wise that I can take them up north with me and they will pretty much ski anything within reason.

i got my renewal for CSC last week but i can't find the year long discount list. i have the awareness days but there are several places that offer standing discounts, Sundown was on the list last year, as was Mount Snow (group rate any day of the season). i emailed the admin of CSC to get that list, will send you if i get it.

i came close to not renewing this year. my daughter is going to do a "friday night" program @ mohawk thru our town. thought about helping out but she told me in no uncertain terms that i was not welcome on HER trips.
