How far is Sundown from UCONN? My son is going there and will need a ride back at times. I was thinking I could see what the bump skiing is all about there. If I can get an invite.

UCONN Storrs? They have a ski team that goes there, IIRC. I'm guessing about 1 hour (West) but it depends on the time of day; trying to go through Hartford between 5 and 6PM can be slow going.

Yes, Storrs. It does not look that far on the map. I thought it was only 30 or 35 miles.

It's a guess. Storrs campus is about 1.25-1.5 hours from where I live, Sundown is 25 minutes +/- in the same-ish direction. Hence the 1 hour guess. You have to remember that Storrs to the highway is back roads and when you get off 84W you'll be on regular roads for a while, too. That'll slow you down.

Without having an exact starting address, google maps estimates 1 hour 9 minutes from UCONN Storrs to Sundown:

This would probably be a better route, though... 44 through Hartford ain't the greatest path to travel.

I'd say probably an hour as long as it's not rush hour. I'm looking at houses in Vernon, a few towns away from Storrs, and it's looking like 45 minutes from there (yes, distance to Sundown and Killington are key parameters in my house search.)

It's not that far, but you only get to Farmington by highway. It gets slow from there.

The maps say 44 miles. I just was not sure about the time with roads and traffic. It may be doable for me after dropping off sometime.
