Did the 11-130 tour of the institution. Pretty much the same as yesterday so didnt bother to take any pics... Did a run down gunny which was a real nice warmup run. All the chunks that were there were groomed out nicely!!! Gnareaster was pretty much the same with a nice tight zipperline at the top..Snow is needed badly to fill in the funk in the middle. Did a few runs with MrMagic and John (another instructor) MrMagic was telemarketing the bumps pretty damn good!! We both crashed at the bottom at nearly the same spot which was pretty firm! The good thing about Gnareaster is that is gets some sun, but not enough to thaw/freeze significantly overnight.

I was there last night. Spent most of the evening lapping Gunny and the Nor'easter bumps. If any of the Sundown crew saw the 6'6 dude struggling through the bumps, that was me.

Meet up with us some night. We're all at various stages of the learning process so maybe you could pick up a tip or two. I'll be there tonight.

I heard the conditions were really good last night, for the few people that showed up to ski...

They definitely were. Everything was machine groomed obviously, but with the low skiier volume, Gunny and the rest of the trails I hit skiied well all night.

bheemsoth-- don't recall anyone fitting your description, too bad. MDH and I did the 7:00 to 10:00 shift. Did the first 1 1/2 on norester, and then spent the remainder bombing gunny and stinger-- with a trip to temptor and tom's treat to round out the menu.

Noreaster was nice-- firm in some troughs, but skiable. It does have a really funky section near the end where I could not find a line all night.

Gunny rocked--- if a little soft (funny complaint, I know, but was looking for true hardpack to practice on the WC RC's)-- let it rip, at least as fast as I was comfortable on the new boards. WOW-- they are a completely differant animal than either my RX6s or the Twisters. I need some practice with em-- - they grab early and I sometimes lost the solid edge hold until getting it back later in the turn. Practice, practice practice.
