I took my 68 year old father down upper kidderbrook (Black) for his first run in two years a couple weeks ago. He was bitching ahead of time saying "What are you doing to me" but by the end of it (before the runout) he said "That wasn't too bad".

They do have one decent double black that would be maybe a black, but more than likely a blue at Magic. I believe its called Upper Grizzly Bear. Its a fun run for sure. I forget the name of the trail that has a pretty fun headwall about halfway down the trail you can huck yourself off pretty good.

Most Stratton Blacks would compare to blues elsewhere. There are some steep sections but nothing sustained. They are nice to just open it up one since there are not many surprises. The few un-groomed ones were fun, but I forgot the names. The tree runs are fun/difficult.

First thing I thought about when I read this title was that Kevin Nealon clip.

We have a black friend whose wife is white. People who don't know him tip toe around what to call him, at one point the wife said to a friend who was trying to be PC "Heather it is ok, he knows he's black". That got a good laugh.

don't know about stratton, but i saw 2 black lifties at gunstock. cool

Ski Roundtop her in central PA also had two black lifties this season. It did blow my mind the first few times, but they were some of the coolest/most personable lifties on the mountain!

I would argue that some of the blacks off Ursa would be Greens at some places, they are seriously that tame. That said, they have a lot of good trails... I love the bumps on the Spruces and Beardown.

When I had passes at Mountain Creek, I would see a couple black guts who skied in jeans, but were actually really good.

I definitely see more racial diversity at some areas over others.. Just an observation..
