Feels like IKON has been way better than EPIC in terms of adding realistic incremental value to the pass, and by that I mean places most folks might actually ski, as opposed to some rando place in Switzerland or Japan.

I'd have to think that the parking reservations are here to stay on weekends. They were doing that when they were limited so doubtful that changes.

Arapahoe has limited parking. There is no way CDOT will ever let people park on US 6

I will still purchase a full ikon pass supplemented with an Indy. Been a great year east and west with this combo.

For next season has anyone figured out how to game the $25 monthly credit if you go that route to get the most out of it? At Stratton, for example, where can it be used and can I buy alcohol with it? Can I buy $25 gift cards in the summer months

Seems like an easy hurdle to beat the $50 off option but $100 at Backcountry.com is also tempting.

Reading that they apparently fired their CEO, Jared Smith

The press release says he's stepping down. He's also going to be a "resource" for the next year to allow for a "seamless transition" once the new CEO is chosen. You don't usually stay on as an advisor for a year if you were fired...

Well, with the terrible season and flat pass sales the last two seasons, I do have to wonder if he is jumping ship before things get worse.

Jared Smith, the CEO of Alterra Mountain Company, is stepping down at the end of this ski season.

“Serving as CEO of Alterra has been an honor, and I am deeply proud of the incredible people, capabilities and businesses we’ve added to this amazing company,” he said in a statement. “The commitment of the ownership group to these mountains, and to the team members and communities they serve, is truly unique.”
Alterra, which owns multiple famous ski resorts and sells the Ikon Pass, shared the news in a press release on Tuesday, March 10, 2026.

“Jared has been a valued leader at Alterra Mountain Company for many years, and we are grateful for his leadership and partnership,” said Eric Resnick, chairman of the board of Alterra Mountain Company and CEO of KSL Capital Partners, in a statement.

“Over the course of his tenure, he has made a lasting impact during a period of continued growth and operational advancement, while ensuring the company maintained the culture and commitment to our communities that make Alterra special,” Resnick continued, before thanking Smith.

Certainly a possibility...but still very different from being fired.
Indeed. I figure he is reading the tea leaves that the next year is going to be very bad. But only he knows. Maybe he is returning to Live Nation, another universally loved company. :ROFLMAO:

Maybe they should dump some more money into low elevation lifts at Deer Valley that will sit idle next season (while main lifts at Sugarbush are barely operating).
