This is probably heresy to the CLIT people but moguls mean you have too much skier traffic and not enough snow. If you go to the big snow & low traffic mountains, you don't see an ocean of mogul fields. That's one of the things I love about skiing Chile. The traffic is so low that the off piste terrain doesn't bump up. Ditto Mount Baker. At AltaBird, the locals all bitch like crazy when the terrain is all hardpack bumps. They call it icy and don't ski until it snows again.

Or you can look at it as just following the same line all the great skiers before you did.

Speaking as a non clit.... it's not heresy, its a fact :)

And letting moguls forms by skiers was back then, nowadays ski resorts groom out the moguls :(

Depends on your definition of too much skier traffic, not enough snow. Good bumps are just the right combination of both, but when you get to hardpack you've gone too far.

Ditto Mount Baker. .

Baker does have a freestyle team though coached by Lane Barett. Last I was there they had a skied in course on that trail under Chair 4. Of course it snowed a butt load that week and it got buried..

'bumps dont sell condos'

Hence the problem with our industry relying on real estate. We are top heavy. Too much upper management, too diverse a product offering. A ski area. That's the ticket. Skiing.

I'll elaborate some other time.

Mogul skiing is growing. More on that later as well.

Iceman said he was told the course on Highline will be open to the public at least through the rest of the week.

OK, according to Iceman here's the scoop (BTW, Mondeo, Ty said she saw you out there yesterday)

The course is or course (lol) open.

The kickers are closed unless Deb Newson or another coach is out there. If she knows you, she will most likely let you do them. (don't quote me on that)

YMMV

It might be interesting to get to it in a few days. The ice flow above the bump course is getting kinda thin. It faces east. I'm not sure it will make the weekend.
