So I was at Magic yesterday and a DART helicopter landed in the parking lot around 4 and they were transporting someone out. Anyone know anything.

I skied Friday, super thin on many trails, but great spring skiing. Up Your Sleeve was lotsa fun on a narrow ribbon along the tree line if you like that sorta thing. If they really want to open for another day (and Jeff wants to make April) I think there's enough to farm to get Showoff from Green at a bare minimum. Probably a route from the top (trick is deep) as well. Tali has lots of snow, but the run in and out are questionable. Maybe with walking?

I was there Saturday skiing was fun, riding the lift was not. There's still plenty of coverage on most snowmaking trails. The snow was crusty up top and corn down lower. There was only about 10 people there yesterday

I was one of the 10 or so. Fun day, agree on lift riding not being fun due to the liquid precipitation. Any day in skis is good for me! Wish I could get there this weekend but Friday and Saturday the job has me stuck in flat-land.

Wasnt so much the rain for me, more the fog. Hard to really get comfortable when you can't tell if there's an ice chunk/dirt patch 20 feet in front of you. Crazier weather Sunday morning - no power in Peru, incredibly thick fog and a quarter inch of ice on my car

Yesterday turned out to be Magic’s closing day. Warm, blue bird day with surprisingly good skiing given the March melt and lack of snow. Temps in the mid 60’s Thursday, and forecasted rain for Saturday, we’re key factors to closing. They had enough snow to open today.

Upper Carpet, Medium, Trick, Wand, ShowOff and Carumba had good coverage and were top to bottom. Lower Carpet required a short walk across the flats adjacent to the T-Bar. Talisman required a walk on Wizard just downhill of Broomstick, a short one at the intersection of Wizard/Sorcerer/Talisman, and a short one at the base just uphill of BLQ. But it was well worth the walk as Talisman was deep, edge to edge and smooth like buttah.

Was nice to hear so many people complimenting Geoff and the staff. It was a great year at Magic with an impressive showing on snowmaking and grooming and a long season from Friday December 6th to Friday April 4th (beating Bromley on both ends). Lots of talk of off season plans too so more for next year!

Great season for Magic. Weather cooperated for the most part, probably the best start snowmaking-wise in recent memory. Fully-functional lift system was great, no more limited access due to breakdowns or 20 minute lines on peak weekends. Had days with the two lots plus Dostal's full and barely any wait time for any lift. Good trail/skier management too in terms of snowmaking, LMC and all of Wizard done early. Shame we ended up getting 30 inches less than Bromley/Stratton but a great winter regardless.

Actually the only real lift line at full capacity (2000 tickets) was right after lunch. That is with all lots filled. They bought a new shuttle bus also. The snowmaking plus the cold was what saved March.

Was terrific to have a relatively normal season with no drama about the black chair or pond filling with debris etc

I am happy for the ownership and management that this was a good season for them. It is nice not seeing complaints in here.
