So how was Ragged?

Also pretty boney but I enjoyed exploring a new to me place. They were hosting a race and were pretty crowded. Very long waits for the 6, so I mostly skied the 4. I’d go back on a day with fresh snow.

Magic wasn’t crowded at all today, at least for the 845-1045 shift.

Overall I think I made a poor choice going to low elevation places that JUST got enough snow to open terrain. I suspect the skiing was better at higher elevations and/or further north.

Prob not skiing again til banff/revelstoke 2/15

Hey I was at Ragged yesterday, was pretty crowded all right. In addition to the race, the Barnyard Triple was down and it was the first Saturday after a big snowstorm. But the lifties did an excellent job of filling every single chair to keep the lines moving. Like you I had not been there before this year. The ravine/canyon between the two peaks was super fun to explore. I think I spotted you in line:

Elvis lives! I went to Ragged today for my first time too and really enjoyed the place. Had an off duty Ragged patroller friend showing us around and was impressed with both the trails and their woods runs. Trails in good shape and woods pretty beaten in. Look forward to going back for a mid week fresh snow experience, The place seems to be in the middle of nowhere and no lodging to be had for miles around. It was crowded for a day tripping place. Really wanted to hit the boardercross course but it was closed, it looked pretty bad ass and huge fun. My initial impression is that Ragged may be better than Magic!
