The Birds are on the verge of taking the WS. Interesting how all season long everyone has said that it did not matter which NL team got into the WS cause the NL team had no chance in winning the WS. Guess again, brainiacs!

I hate St. Louis, and would love to see them lose after going up 3-1; I'd love a repeat of 1985 when they lost to the Royals in 7, including the 11-0 drubbing in game 7 (remember Joaquin Andujar?).

The "best" indicator of the "best" team (back when there was a balanced schedule - there was a reason for 162 games!) was total games won. I still believe this is a better indicator than how a team plays for 5 or 7 games. Just not as exciting.

The Cards haven't won it (yet).

I'm glad it looks like the WSC will be back in the National League. It hurts a little knowing how close the Mets where to getting there and how beatable the Tigers look.
