A-Basin and Loveland from February 26th thru the 28th.
Sick snow was slayed all days, ending on a great bluebird day.. pics below explain it better.
-First day was at A-Basin, snowing hard all day, visibility was crap, so we stuck to the Pali chair most of the day and hit the trees in there, sick, deep snow on steep was MINTY! Dropped into Monezuma Bowl a few times, but that ranged from great to crappy depending on which side you were on. The "great" side was 8" untracked fluff, but was really shallow pitch so we could just about straightline it to the runout, the"crappy" side was steep, but had 3" of fluff, then crusty mank under, plus low visibility, made for a difficult way down.
-Second day was at Loveland. SWEET! cold, windy, and snowy. Kinda like back home, but better terrain!
Again, woods were great, as were all the steeps off chair one. Kept bootin' 180's in the moguls over there, and sticking them on the sumos.. yes!!!!!
-Third and final day (skiing) was at Loveland, bluebird day, so we headed up to the ridge adn enjoyed the untracked bowls!!
We were all spanked by 2:30 that day.. whew!
Would have loved to ski more while we were out there, but we had plenty of fun doing the brewery tour (mostly at New Belgium) in Fort Collins and hiking/ sightseeing in Rocky Mountain National Park.
