Ugh. I hope this is not true but I'm hearing things. The website is down and the phone's voicemail isn't picking up. Damn.

yup :(

it's too bad, but with the FD cutting the capacity in half when Chris took it over, I'm not surprised. Basically cut the revenue in half on a busy night. The FD said they'd increase the permit to 150 if they installed another door to the outside at the end of the bar by the kitchen. They felt in the event of a fire, the egress out that way through the kitchen was not sufficient. Owner of the building was not willing to make the investment. Maybe he will now, so the next folks who lease the business have a better chance at being successful.

Around town today I heard there were more issues than that. Long story but I dearly hope someone will take up the reins.

I have a lot of faith in Adam getting it done.

The fact that he leased the space for two years only for what he needed to pay his mortgage and taxes speaks volumes towards how much he values keeping the Church alive with music.

My recs would be to keep it simple. Operate W-SAT with good talent when UNH is in session. Operate W - Fri when not. Try and book the space the rest of the time for private parties coordinated with a local caterer. I think they could do a banging wedding business there during the summers when there's not enough people/traffic around to fill the place for shows.
