THis weather has really played a number on me too...physically that is. I developed a bad cold, it was probably actually more than a cold, but being the stubborn person I can be I never went to the doctor for it. Starting the Sunday before Thanksgiving, I had a wicked cough and was running a fever. The day after Thanksgiving was my 25th class reunion that I had worked hard planning. I fought being sick and would not see a doctor. I continued to fight it until this Tuesday. I stayed home from work...tired and rundown and coughing up a storm. Wednesday, I finally went to the doctor...I have pneumonia...fortunately a mild case.

I am supposed to go to Stowe next weekend and hope to be well enough to do so...heck, I will be...I'll go anyway.

NOW ALL I NEED IS SNOW!!!!!!!!!!

I have a cold now too. Sore throat, runny nose, earache. It's the same thing I get when I get allergies, but I'm not allergic to anything this time of year. Maybe I'm just allergic to grass from December-March. LOL.

..... Because 02-03 and 03-04 were snowy and cold winters for the most part accross the northeast, i would not bet on a cold and snowy one this year. The last years like 02-04 were 94-96. Needless to say, 97-99 werent good winters for skiing, so you be the judge.

You guys in Mass and southward just have to get outside of the Braintree-Framingham-Lowell snowbelt....

Thanks

Actually, from what I know it doesn't take long to cover that region. In fact, I wonder what it looks like now. My complaint with the Weather Channel and other weather sevices would be that they are political. You will know more about distant lands like Ca., Alaska, and even Hawaii than you will about much closer regions in Canada.

Don't be a country bumkin. Most downhill skiing in the Northeast is done south of 89 in Vt. and in the White Mtns of N.H. If you have to drive out of that region to find snow, it is a poor season for the sport, wiseguy.

This storm is looking better and better every day. On Thursday, they were forecasting 60s and rain for both days. Now, Monday looks like all snow through New England and snow north on Tuesday with freezing rain south.

Right. Now here is the definition I found for Rossignol in Larousse's Pocket French-Eng., Eng.-Fr. dictionary.
m. nightingale; (pop.) false key, skeleton key, pick-lock; (pop.) white elephant, unsaleable article.
What were they thinking when they started using that label?

yeah they plucked and stuffed that bird. I dig the white elephant defintion. They should get a picture of one with Hannibal for next year.

Chicken skis rock!
