I've had enforcers for 3 years. They've been through plenty of low tide woods and have held up very well. Actually put the first decent scratch in them yesterday. Some of my buddies like the Nortica enforcers. They say they are like steel.
As far as this winter goes, it has been refreshing to actually have normal winter temperatures without a giant damaging thaw. A couple smaller thaws around Christmas, but for the most part every resort has been able to really build out their snowmaking routes without having to go back and recover trails that were already done. I think for most it can be considered a successful winter in that regard. As far as snowfall, I think the only resorts that are truly happy with this year are the ones north of 89. Sure, the ones south of 89 have enough coverage to be pretty close to 100% open across the board, but there's no doubt that it's very thin at most of these places. The base in the woods was much better at this time last year, but was also frozen solid after a rainstorm. We're just not getting the storms necessary to make the trees and nats good. They're skiable thanks to the nickel and dime events, but that's about as good as it's getting right now. North of 89 has had a lot of upslope events so they can sing a different tune (and I'll be singing with them this weekend and it will be nice to be back in the deeper snow).
