1.
Starr, Stowe, Vermont

37 Degree pitch... doesn't ride like it, but ok.

2.
Freefall, Smugglers' Notch, Vermont

Some representation from the mountain on the other side of Stowe... not just a Family resort...

3.
Green Beret, Jay Peak, Vermont

It has been a few seasons, but I can't say that I boarded this... I'll be back this coming season
4.
Tramline, Cannon Mountain, New Hamp.

I'll eventually need to make it there...

5.
White Nitro, Sugarloaf/USA, Maine

Only been to Sunday River, but was never tempted at Sugarloaf.

the ommission of paradise at mrg is a significant over sight. green beret has one very short pitch near the top, no way this should be in any ones top five for steeps, that is laughable and total BS. paradise is steeper than tramline which actually isn't as steep as it looks but can get pretty hairy at the crux near tower 1. i haven't skied the others so i can not comment, but where are the jay face chutes? certainly steeper than green beret.

I'm pretty sure they are talking trails not glades. Atleast that is my explanation of why Paradise, and the Face chutes aren't on there. Also, I agree about the green beret arguement, it is probably a 100 ft. of vertical, max. A really nice trail but it shouldn't qualify in the steeps category.

What about Ski Denton .......

" Steepest in the East! At 66 degrees, you can't find a more exciting run. Don't even think about it if you don't fit into the criteria warning sign at the top. "
