I'd like to try tree skiing for the first time. Mostly ski at Mount Snow. What tree area at mount snow is the best for a "tree newbie?"

I'm going to assume you are a strong intermediate who dabbles in blacks.
Any woods on-map on the main face is good. The most important thing for many beginners is to have an easy bail-out if it gets to be too much. Those qualify.
Hint - the lower the elevation, the more gentle the pitch.
Once you master those, there are other places at Snow for a nice progressive challenge.

There are some nice low angle woods that are very visible from the main lift at Carinthia. Those would be good starter woods too.

x2. Those are nice over there. There's also another set on the opposite side of the mountain. I can't remember the name of the trail they're off of though.

it's called "The Boonies" off of trail "One more time" which starts at the top of the Canyon Express Quad lift.

The Boonies are a very good spot to try out tree skiing....

Also agree about the ones on the right going up Nitro lift at Carinthia...

When you're comfortable with those there are many other possibilities...
