Turned out to be a great day after all. 14 inches of snow the day/night before with 100MPH+ winds caused high avalanche danger in the ravine. We skied a lap on the Sherburne trail and tried again. This time we were told the Left Gully would be okay to ski. Lucky us!

We got very lucky! But then again you make your own luck.
I wish Mt Washington was a little closer to CT

Snow Rangers

I was shocked by how many people skied the Head Wall anyway! The Snow Rangers were very busy
trying to keep people safe that day. I have such respect for the job they do.

They actually had a pretty big slide up there on Saturday.
