Two of the many great finds I've had over the past couple of weeks.

As you know, I have a web site that I put up old ski brochures, postcards, booklets and other memorabilia on. Recently, I found a couple great items I wanted to share with you.

The first is a great old Sears and Roebuck Learn to Ski booklet. It has a 25 cent price on it, but I heard they also gave it with skis that they sold. Here is the URL for that: http://teachski.com/books/searsskibook/how_to_ski.htm

The next item is an old advertising postcard from a shop in New Jersey. On the front side there is a picture of some of the items for sale. On the back is a brief description of each and a price. Here is the URL for that: http://teachski.com/PCfile/advertising_postcard.htm

I have a full shoe box with old brochures, postcards and stickers to put on. I also have a large number of foreign brochures which were recently sent to me.

Enjoy!

Wow! That's a hoot!

Wouldn't work for me, my first skies came from Jordan Marsh!

Nice find TS!

In the Sears pamphlet page 16 will put to rest any equipment questions or arguments. Hickory Skis, bear-trap bindings, leather boots and bamboo poles -- all expertly recommended by Sears!
