Just wondering how many people support the Us Ski Team either buy donating $$$$ or going to watch whenever possible. I give them $100.00 per year and get some kinda sticker, and always try to make it whenever they are at White Face.:flag:

I'm planning to go to Sugarloaf in March to watch the US Nationals. That will be a first for me.

Nice, I didn't know about that. That'll be the first time back East since the last minute switch to Whiteface won't it?

As far as I know that is correct. Wish we had enough support to get them over here more often.

Agreed.

That was a great show, I wouldn't mind seeing it back again at all.

Never forget watching Bode get almost to the bottom of L. Cloud after that jump on Lady's Drop. Grande cahonnies!

True dat--that guy really is friggin amazing to say the least. From what I heard they, (the team), were real happy w/ what they had at Whiteface and would like to come back more. You hear anything more about that???

Well, I guess that would depend on who you talked with. I ran in to Mendes, and the blond, slalom hot shot who does the roaring thing in the start house one afternoon at the Olympic Flame. They were both into their second six of Corona, and certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves. Then again, I also ended up on a chair with Resi Steigler who thought the place was a joke. Ah well, you can't please everybody.

I support the ski team by competing in Nastar..because I know Nature Valley gives granola bars to the athletes and by also watching coverage on TV..as long as it's semi-live..not one month tape-delayed..which attracts more advertisers into the coveted 18-34 age bracket despite the fact that I don't participate in Nielson ratings surveys..so my viewership means jack shit except for watching Bode go 130KMH..really F-ing fast for non metric AZers before going back to his trailer to get drunk..Holla

I re-up my coaching license every year. I figure that after my Ski Racing subscription, they should have some of the $125 left for other uses. If I were to donate more cash, it would probably be to a local club or program rather than USSA. (Speaking of which, Cochran's is still trying to fill out the snowmaking fund..go donate if you haven't already!)

(and yes, I'd be very interested in watching a Continental Cup-level or above event if I got the chance; I actually worked course crew on the Nor-Am Champs at Sunday River back in '02 or '03, and the level of skiing is just amazing.)

I make my contribution every year, and have the slew of various t-shirts, blankets, hats, etc to show for it. A few years ago when they were building their new facility in Park City I even donated what ever the $$ amount was (I believe $150) so I have families name on a brick in the walk way.

I had drinks at a on-slope bar at Paganella that had a US Ski Team banner up. Does that count? It was several drinks...
