Update: We're soooooo close to 100" base. Snowbird and Alta are saying 94" right now. This change of pattern has been awesome and we are so close to that crucial 100" benchmark which is critical not just for skiing but for our drinking water supply. Fingers crossed this keeps going. NWS was saying that there was going to be a break and warm-up early next week. Get out here NOW.

Be aware though that avalanche has been a real problem. We had two folks killed a couple weeks back. Hopefully it will settle down soon.

As for me, I think for Sunday 'bird is the word.

I am heading out to UT first week of March. We are staying at the Canyons.
Taking a tour of the RAMP ski factory on Monday. Cat skiing tuesday at Powder ridge. Skiing Snowbird and Canyons for full days and a half day friday at Canyons before flying home.
It going to be great!

Yea thats what I meant.
I am quite excited for the trip. I have skied the Canyons and Deere Valley 4 yrs ago and loved it. Im excited to get to explore some more areas.

We are heading out first week of March as well. Currently booked to stay in Ogden and ski Pow Mow and Snowbasin for 3 days before moving to stay in Park City to ski there and LCC.

If I am looking at the right forecast for Snowbasin and Powder, the dreaded "R" word is mentioned late next week. Is that likely to be snow at the mountain elevations? If not, we may look at staying closer to LCC/BCC for the first 3 days.

Welcome to the boards!

The NOAA/NWS forecasts can be misleading at times because, except for Alta and Brighton, they are based on SLC airport or Park City airports. They are lower elevation. We've been having rain in SLC and snow up high. I'm not too concerned yet....especially since it is so far off. My buddy who frequents Snowbasin told me that his sources showed snow for that storm.
