Why buy a canyons season pass?

canyons.jpg

A canyons only season pass costs $160 more than an Epic pass, which includes the Canyons and 9 other ski areas as well. Why the hell would anyone buy the canyons only pass?

Well, I think the real question should be why buy a Canyons Pass that was good for last season (2012-2013)? Look closely.....;)

And why does the Epic pass include (little) Eldora, but the Epic 7 does not? I did not realize that Eldora was so popular.....

I went to El Dora last year, it's not a bad little ski area, close to Boulder, which is probably what keeps it in business.

I didn't see the years on that pic I posted, but regardless, why would anyone have paid more for less?

Oh yeah, for sure. I bet it is a gem since folks overlook it. When we went to Denver in 2010 we skied two days at Loveland before going to Utah. I bet they want folks to buy the big pass for Eldora because they don't want the Eldora locals in Boulder/Denver to just buy the cheaper pass.

You'd be surprised how many folks just stay at Canyons...especially locals....but yes, why pay more for less?

you are not paying more for less. you're paying less for more. the 2012-2013 Canyon Season Pass part of the chart, is there to show how much more you are getting for your money.

That's what I initially assumed as well.

Yes, it is a comparison. I'm assuming when you look at a canyons season pass they don't have the epic pass next to it, but I was hoping by putting this out there that no one will just buy just the canyons pass.

Why buy a Cannon pass when snowy Alta/Snowbird , and Solitude, Brighton are a few miles away.
