So I went to Val D'Irene located in the east of Quebec in Gaspesie (near Amqui). They just received so much snow this winter that It was natural to head to that region that weekend.
This is a small secret in Quebec. There's one side of that hill that might be the steepest you can find in a station in the Province. Usually there's a school bus that take you from that side to the base station were you can get the lift. That weekend, the bus was'nt there but you are in Gaspesie and people are really nice. We have done around 20 runs on that side and 18 lifts we got to the station! 3 guys from P.E.I. was there also with their car and bring us back to the station! Really nice from them! So, we were 5 peoples doing first tracks all day long in a meter and half of powder!!!
Check the picture and enjoy!
and the rest on Flickr!
