STOWE, Vermont -- Prevent hunger in Vermont by skiing and riding at Stowe Mountain Resort on April 15. This Sunday, you can help the Vermont Food Bank, by bringing two canned or non-perishable food items to the Mansfield Base Lodge in Stowe. Each person who donates can purchase a full-day ticket, valid that day, for only $25.
Stowe Mountain Resort is currently experiencing extraordinarily great conditions for April. 32 to 46 inches of new snow has fallen in the past seven days, and snow surfaces are a lot more like mid-winter than spring. Learn more about fighting hunger and create another great winter memory before this season comes to an end.
The Vermont Foodbank serves nearly 270 not-for-profit organizations with meal programs: community kitchens; shelters for the homeless; domestic abuse programs; food shelf programs; rehabilitative centers; and services for the elderly and children. The Vermont Foodbank receives financial and product support from organizations, corporations, foundations and individuals. For more information, call (802) 253-3426 or visit www.vtfoodbank.org.
