Amazing some of the things you find at a local library booksale…

Vintage Vermont Life Winter Editions with great pics of Vermont Skiing the way it used to be. Some shots of K-Mart for you here…some are blurry, but that is because I did not scan them, I took a digital pic for quick uploading. If I have time, I will scan some of the nicer ones.

MRG, Stowe, and Killington used to hand out blankets because of the long chair ride and the cold temps. If you look closely, you can see that it is a wool blanket with the old school "KILLINGTON" logo on it. I can only imagine how much one of those would fetch nowadays....

When I was a kid Gore had them too, on the long east chair, when you got near the top you went over a bunch of rocks and the wind was fierce. They were especially useful when you went up the lift with a girl you liked...:wink:

Oh yeah... the Peak chair used to get blankets right to the end at Killington. Great pictures....
