Reading comprehension problems I see.
There's a 1 hr drive time difference between Killington and Stowe from NYC no matter how you slice it. Perhaps it's negligible to some, but 1 hr is not negligible to me, especially after driving for 5 hrs.
Yes, but I'll pass on Mountain Creek. I have a season pass at Killington and log in 40 to 50 days a year up there, so I'm cool with the drive. I'm just saying that if drive time is a consideration for the original poster, there's a 1 hr drive time difference and for many that would not be negligible.
exactly. I drive 4.5 hours each way from NY to sugarbush every weekend so I dont have to take lip from anyone about driving. But when someone is asking for advice on where to go from NY, it is flat out wrong to tell them that the difference is "negligible". Unless you dont know what negligible means.
Like I said when driving I-91/89 corridor the difference in drive time is negligible. It's been established that it takes 30-40- minutes to drive from Okemo to Killington & that's negligible in the eyes of some. But if you stay on I-91/89 & it takes 1 hour longer to get to Stowe or Sugarbush that's not negligible. Whatever floats your boat.
The advice I gave is spot on.
Do you ski all day Saturday and 1/2 day Sunday? That's quite a commitment each week.
OT, but I love how whenever you stop at rest areas Saturday or Sunday early evenings during winter anywhere on I-87S, the ENTIRE reststop area is taken over by skiers and boarders.
keep believing your own bs. Anyone interested will have enough sense to look at a map where it is clear as day, that you were, are and always will be, wrong.
and BTW- just because it takes 30-40 minutes to get from Okemo to Kton doesnt necessarily mean it takes that much longer to get to Kton from NYC as opposed to Okemo.
So the 1hour drive from Killington to Sugarbush up 100 is negligible but if you drive 1 hour further on the I-91/89 corridor to get to Stowe or Sugarbush that's not negligible. Sheesh!all day saturday and till 1 on sunday unless conditions warrant more runs. Believe it or not, it's the wife who is the driving force (no pun intended).
We dont go near the interstates. 100 to 7 to 22 to the taconic FTW.
If you make Sugarbush in 4.5 hours driving your route from NYC you must be flying.

I'm a bit skeptical of this part myself, and I have the best radar detector on the market and am not afraid to use it. Maybe he actually lives north and outside the city?
I'm sure you 2 have scared the op away.
Yeah but it was only his 1st post...:-D
I didn't start this crap the other 2 did. I'm just defending what I said.
really? check the thread when you made a crack about "reading comprehension". I guess your memory is as good as your english skills.
Yes & rightfully so. I never said there wasn't a difference in time but you said I did. Reading comprehension.
