Too bad I just heard about this today, I've got some sweet pictures.
There was an announcement at the top of this forum for the past month...

Had to go with austin's. Nice shot man. This was a real tough call, all of them were nice.

(damn it, I knew I meant to do something before bed last night.)

Same here. Centering the moon in that shot is what clinched it for me.

That was my clincher too! The picture is set into perfect thirds. Without that moon the shot would be all about the frosted trees and the action shot. The moon makes the whole shot for me. It could be a poster!
I'm no photo or art critic, but these things jumped out at me.

i didn't want to risk effecting the results and ruining my chance at a pair of tix, but whatev, i agree kbroderick definitely has a great shot. too bad that wasn't knee deep powder and there was a little more snow in the foreground.

Agreed. Got my vote too. It's almost 3-dimensional....looks like that guy's going to jump through my screen!

Tough choice, I went with YardSaleDad (KBroderick was the other option) - I liked the composition, nice capture of a very high contrast scene, good elements with the sun, snow making, quiet trail - nice image there!

These are some fantastic pictures. All are excellent. I had to vote for kbroderick but great work from all of the participants.

I must say all but two of those photos lack almost all elements of a good picture.

Of course I voted for KBroderick cause it is the best picture of skiing/snowboarding.

I went with YardSaleDad, because his picture made me think of unicorns and mystical, magical places with fairies and good witches and happy elves.

Even after putting the bottle of bourbon down, I still like it.

The picture, not the bourbon.

Okay, the bourbon, too.

Unicorns, fairies and happy elves? I think you need to not only put down the bourbon, but the absinthe and the shrooms, as well.
