Resort or Ski Area: Wachusett

Conditions: Man-made, packed powder, hard packed

Trip Report: Hit wachusett last night for some good ol' fashion night skiing. This was the first time of this season that I skied under the lights at wa. Now, while they have blown a hell of a lot of snow, mother nature could be of some help too! Mainly stuck to Connifer, Tenth Mountain and Smith Walton all night. Many many kids on the snow. Connifer was the best with powdery snow on the edges... In the middle it was scrapped off, and hard packed. Tenth was all hard pack, and I could have used an edging! Smith walton was death cookie central. Was there from 6-9pm... A nice night out, should be there wednesday night and then a week and a half it is off to Okemo and Kmart for the 30th and 31st!

I was there too. Great skiing for a local place when there hasn't been any natural snow.

I left smiling.

I was there too, Completely agree with you on conditions. Challenger by far had the best snow, Hitchcock 2nd, so stayed on minuteman most of the night. Like usual nobody was on challenger so it was perfect for some carving. But the loose snow on the edges of conifer and 10th was pretty good. one run down smith was enough for me, completely covered with death cookies.

Overall wawa has done a great job considering its only december 18th, and they've had zero natural snow
