Date skied: Sunday Night 12-20
Resort: Wachusett Mountain
Conditions: Packed Powder, Machine Groomed, some powder staches

Second outing of the season, went to Wachusett last night, since we finally got some real snow here in eastern Mass. It was a beautiful night, did laps on conifer, 10th mountain and Smith Walton. 10th mountain and Smith Walton were the choices of the night. A pretty large crowd actually, when I got there at 6pm, was at the back of the parking lot... Damn school vacation kids. Plan to be back out there this Tuesday night... and then Saturday up at Gunstock! A good week to be on the snow!

Did Wachusett get a lot of new snow on Sunday? Does it seem like they have a deep base now or are they still making snow?

The report I got says they got 10 inches. They're reporting a 24-30 inch basedepth. I got to the mountain on Sunday afternoon at 4 and everything was groomed out. They were blowing snow -- hard. Had fun on the whales. Skied til around 7 then headed in.
