Has a good day at Wawa. Not sure if this weekend is the last one or not. Some of the employees seemed to think they could make another weekend by harvesting snow, but I'm not so sure. Some areas have good coverage, but there were some bare spots and a few slush bars on some trails.

Temps were mild in the upper 40's and rising to the mid-50's. It was supposed to be sunny today, but luckily it was overcast so the snow didn't turn to mush. Crowds were pretty light for a Saturday, and I hardly had to wait for a chair all day.

Worried this might be my last day of the season, I skied until I could ski no more. My legs lasted from 7:45 until 4.

Some pics:

The headwall of Smith was in pretty bad shape. With lots of ice and bare patches. Lower Smith was in really good shape though.

The Waffle cabin was high and dry, but still serving great waffles.

There were some St. Patty's events going on, with a live Irish band. Personally I would have preferred a Reggae band.

The top of the Minuteman express got a little water logged by the afternoon.

There were some groups of kids that would occasionally clog up the trails, but they were having fun. I saw a few nice wipe outs as if it was the first day of the season instead of near the end.

Wow, I can't see them making another week, it looks like it's getting really thin

Supposed to be 80 at the end of this week.

Yeah, by four everybody kind of disappeared. If my legs hadn't given out I would have kept at it. The snow was pretty fun today.

they're all done. Supposed to be 70's all week.

+1 on them being done; comparing what I saw Monday 3/12 to these pictures; Smith headwall took a really bad beating. I am surprised that the top of Minuteman even had snow on your pics. No way they can make another week; they needed to get on the bandwagon earlier w/ harvesting snow. If they got it earlier to minimize snow exposure and focused on keeping Smith or Tenth opened, maybe another week would be possible.

Yeah, I think they are done. Just looking at the webcam it already looks terrible compared to Saturday. A week of this sun and heat will be too much. I'm glad I skied my ass off that day, since it was probably my last day of the season. I was thinking of maybe hitting Sunday River or the Loaf this coming weekend, but the trail counts seem to be plummeting already and it's only Monday.
