Probably not as far as the money is concerned. Lets not kid ourselves here, the Green Monster is for sale to the highest bidder...

Maybe a return to the good ol' days?

Does that mean Yankees fans won't ski there anymore?

I like the return to advertisements on outfield walls. Sure it's more corporate "branding" but it is also Kickstand said a return to the good 'ol times.

How can the Red Sox endorse any ski area? Didn't Jim Lonborg shorten his career with a skiing injury?

Wow, those ads on the Monster must make it tough for a batter to figure out whether he should go for a double.

^ Yup. Lonborg after the '67 Series in Heavenly.

Sunday River used to have a tie-up with the Sox. They would have a Sunday River day when 2 for 1 coupons were distributed to the fans. SR would also have a limited number of seats which they would distribute among their Facebook fans via a lottery. Last one they did was two seasons ago. I imagine they would be doing the same thing. Boston is the natural market for both SR/Loon and WV and it makes business sense to tap into the Sox fanbase. On the Red Sox's part, they have to keep that sellout streak going...

They used to have these Red Sox caps with the SR logo on the side. I don't think they were for sale. You had to know whom to ask.

I've always thought the "offical X of Y team" has been a bizarre marketing ploy. Do people really do stuff because of that? (rhetorical question, the answer is yes obviously otherwise they wouldn't spend their marketing budget on becoming the Official Foot Oder Powder of the New England Revolution Soccer Team!

I think Les Otten was still involved with ASC/Sunday River when he went in with the Sox current ownership group as a minority owner. I don't think he still has his stake, but I remember he was trying to lead a group making a bid for ownership.
