Ways to find out info on businesses that were open in 1960s

Hi I was wondering if anyone knew of way to find out on the web about a ice cream place that my dad said was great in the Bronx in early 1960s,he knows it existed but can't find many people that knew of it,I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good website for info thanks in advance

Old phonebooks are a good resource. I don't know of any sites that have them. Maybe the historical society in the respective town?

yes he has he only found forums for people from the Bronx and 1 person said they kind of remember it but he just like proof maybe like an old phone book?

I have heard of these places called "libraries" that have "books". Not sure what a library or a book is though...

yes but do they have books on individual businesses that existed 40+ years ago?

Check with the local Chamber of Commerce, or you can dig through Secretary of State corporation filings. Not sure how NYS is organized there, but always an option.
