Warren and I are trying to decide where to go. My wife suggested that we get out today, but I have alot of chores to do and would rather wait for perfectly clear roads for driving as it's still snowing lightly here with snowpacked roads.

I am waiting for a report today from Ragged, as this is one choice, but I am wondering about the condition of the glades. Sundown, Mohawk, Sunapee or Crotched are also options for sunday.

We have narrowed the choice for tomorrow down to Mount Sunapee or Dartmouth Skiway.
Did you hear anything about Ragged?

Also, if you are going to Sunapee and don't have any discounts, you should check their online deals...I printed out a coupon that I used a few Sundays ago to get a free lift ticket for one of my kids.

I have that very same coupon and will use it for free skiing for my son.

Warren and I just came back from Sunapee and had a fairly decent day overall. Unfortunately I hit a deer about 1/2 mile from my house and I am quite upset at having killed it. The car has minor cosmetic damage, but I feel really badly that I hit it.

When I calm down a bit I will post a report.

Hope everyone is ok and sorry you had to hit the deer, but did you keep it? Some places (Maine) let you can keep your roadkill and there are people who will butcher it for you in trade for the pelt.

No I did not even stop considering how close I was to home as the I hit a baby doe in the hind legs with the car bumber and it went flying into the woods. My wife went back to check and someone was already removing the deer for meat.

Actually, I did the "perfect kill" according to my wife I did not damage the deer very much at all. I think it is nasty as well, but alot of people hunt around here and eat these animals.

Of all the places to hit one, I was sure it would be in Maine, especially with all of the driving that I do in the Rangeley area.

What kind of damage to your car? That happened to me a little over a month ago. I just left for burke and about 5 miles from my house on 290 I hit a huge deer. I managed to swerve and it just got my mirror. $25 for a new one on Ebay and a $4.50 can of paint and it looks good enough for my piece of junk. I still have some deer hair hanging from my door handle.

I'm glad to hear the deer is the only casualty. I used to work in body shops and I've seen some pretty nasty accidents from deer.
