Got me thinking, I have a really nice Marker Boot Bag, which could be considered too big for one person, but with the family it helps out

Extra Long Johns
2 Polar Fleece Pull Over
2 Polar Fleece Pants...differnt weights
Bachlva
Ripped Jeans
Extra Tee shirts usually 2
Large assortment of Bandanas
Extra Turtle Fur Neck Gators (kids)
A Crown Royal Bag full of change
Mini first aid kit
Extra pair of (old) Googles
repair/tune kit
Extra baseball hat from Gore, polar fleece w. ear flaps
Lots of extra ski socks
Couple of pair of cotton socks
Extra hat leashes
Extra suspenders
Bag Balm

...there's probably more

For me:
Jeans (for the ride home)
Shoes
Extra Fleece
Ski straps/goggle bag/etc

For my wife (in my bag):
Extra Fleece
Extra snow pants
Extra socks
Extra gloves
Extra hat
Anythng else she might want to bring.

I try to pack lightly and appropriately. She likes to pack everything. It's okay, though- I'd rather carry the extra than have her caught unprepared.

Before or after I take out what I'm wearing?

Two years ago the kids bought me a TransPack...boots on the side pockets...gear in the center. Wear it like a back pack. *awesome*

I have extra socks, alternate undergarments (whatever I'm not starting out with...could be the fleece in there...or the long-johns...and whatever ski pants I'm not wearing...either the insulated ski pants or the uninsulated running wind-breakers. There's always the alternate head-gear, alternate gloves plus the driving gloves...and thin glove-liners for those extra cold days.

Ibuprofin.

Then there's whatever I took off and expect to have for the ride home...along with granola bars or whatever to snack on to hold me until I can get whatever I'm in the mood for...usually a good hot cup of coffee (or the occasional cocoa). Other food consumption is either a stop, eat at the lodge (mmmm...nachos), or wait till I get home from Wa.

It depends on the day, I tend to over pack though. Some times I have just about every piece of ski gear I own with me in the car.

I ussually have this stuff in my EMS day pack:
  • Extra gloves
  • T-shirt for ride home
  • Pants for ride home
  • Extra/Different weight base layers
  • Mid-layer option or two
  • Extra googles
  • Package of hand warmers just in case

Snacks I keep in my jacket pocket, I ussually buy lunch.

Is it 4:20 yet? Regardless, Burton's 420 Kit is on time, every time. It was built with you and your lifestyle in mind... crush-resistant and watertight for raucous riding, and with a place for an extra lighter since yours always disappears. Burton knows it's sometimes hard to stay organized, so they've taken care of everything for you with this well-designed and handy kit. It even includes a removable stash sack and elastic loops to secure pre-rolled delights. A removable baggie seals in freshness. Conveniently sized for low-bulk carry, about the size of a thick wallet.

An extra lighter...stash sack...removable baggie for freshness....

Dude...

I go with as little as possible.

For some reason I have been genetically endowed with good cold weather tolerance so I usually have the following, before I'm skiing:

Boots in boot bag, ski pants, gloves, helmet, goggles, and a fleece in duffle bag.

While I'm skiing:

Sneakers in boot bag, jeans, baseball cap, shirt in duffle bag.

Usually wearing polypro underneath, I add the fleece if it is particularly cold. Usually don't need anything under my ski pants in terms of full length stuff. Usually some moisture wicking underwear and low friction shorts (eg nylon) works fine.

What? No dress?

Sorry....

Grandoe Mittens all the way baby.....2 layer system, and polypro glove liners just in case....I gave up on gloves a long time ago...you still gotta take them off...usually....

I started carrying those last year, mostly because its the same bag I use when I'm working as a lifty. It can get cold at the lift if you're not moving around too much...

I have goggles, hat, face mask, gloves, and snowpants in the bag. I wear my coat to the mountain, carry my boots, and my poles and skis are strapped together.

Bag Contents?

Boots (in the lower compartment) Brain Bucket, Mittens, gloves, liners for gloves, 2 pair ski socks, short sleeved fleece, gaiter, face mask, munchies (like trail mix) contact pouch (with spare contacts, fluid, ibuprophen, naproxin sodium, excedrin, tylenol), a couple of ski locks, hand warmers, toe warmers, three pair goggles (rose for sun, yellow for cloudy, clear for night), extra tee shirt (I normally wear a nice long-sleeved poly shirt under my powder suit, but like to change to a dry tee after skiing). I also carry a nice little back pack that contains my powder suit, and into which I put my jacket and jeans while I am on the mountain. I normally just wear some cut-off-just-below-the-knees thermal underwear under my jeans so I don't have to change into those at the lodge. Just realized that this must be extraordinarily boring to read; so I'll stop.

I actually found it fascinating to read... especially with the exclusion of a burrow to carry it all in on...

I carry all the typical gear you all have mentioned already - spare sets of this and that, some stuff for very cold or windy days - but one thing you cannot go without is a deck of cards. They can turn apres ski into a whole new ballgame....
