Yep…as has been mentioned many times in this forum in the past it’s all about compromise. Trouble is when we are all compromising no one gets what they really want. I must admit the older I get the more I resent compromising. Maybe I’m turning into a selfish prick.

Eeks. :-o

For me, raising a family is more rewarding than any of the "fun" stuff that I do. I'll gladly compromise.

You have one pair of socks and one pair of long underwear...yikes..I wouldn't want to room with you on a skitrip..

Actually I have 3 socks total, so 1.5 pairs. Just ask Marc about taking a ski trip with me. I'm surprised they didn't burn my socks and throw me out of the hut when we went to the Chic Chocs. Probably because I did a lot of trail breaking. I see no other reason why they would have kept me.

I still can't give over it..some people have only 3 total ski socks....in fairness I probably only have 3 total dress socks but my ski socks..wow probably a dozen without holes..lol..

327 days of shredding the gnar in the past 3 seasons..this season is gonna be sick..I'm gonna quit slacking and put in more uber steezy sessions..On the topic of this thread...anybody have lightly used Atomic or Elan carving skis for sale..in like a 175-76 or so??? I need some new Nastar skis so I can be tops in the 20-29 year old Bronze category...lmbfao..I've only gotten a silver in Spring conditions FWIW..lol...One of the good things about turning 30 will be being in a slower age class in Nasty R..

I have some seirus liner socks that are soo thin they might as well be dress socks...

Normally I stick with some Under Armour socks, or my spyder's

Thick socks are pointless for skiers IMO

see I don't get people who have ski socks. I used to wear them all the time, but then when I was a broke ski bum, I couldn't justify taking away from my beer budget to spend $8-$12 for a pair socks.

Ever since, I've just used whatever Fruit of the Loom tennis socks I find at Target; 6 pairs for $8 and the funny thing is my feet don't seem to get cold any more often than they did wearing the expensive socks.

My socks are so thin that i can see through them almost 80%. Just there so my feet are not rubbing on the boots. And i still get warm feet.

It's called kids and a family. And unless you make enough dough to have a ski house, then thats about the best you can do. Throw in a couple day trips to VT or NH and you're in the 20 - 30 day range. That's the same boat I'm in.

I have a kid and a family and no ski house and I ski more than 1 day a week. It helps that I have a couple of weekdays off each week when the kid is in school I guess.
